MAC Cosmetics, stylized as M·A·C, part of Estée Lauder Companies, tasked Simetra with modifying and improving their existing Microsoft Access database, specifically the tracking of their make-up artist’s certifications. Simetra Systems MS Access experts made a thorough assessment of their current system and were able to revise their Skill Certification reports across all ten regional databases in cost effective and timely manner. We optimized their main form and revamped layout formats and report parameters to calculate correct dates for their make-up artists Certifications. Simetra devised a cost-effective solution and designed a system that is easy to maintain and update.


East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation

East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation is a non-profit community development organization. Our expert .NET developers created web-based interface for their low-income housing application process. The system allows Applicants to apply via an online application and has an internal Management and Administration module for monitoring and processing submitted applications. The system we developed includes a robust filtering engine for applications based on a multitude of rules and eligibility requirements, such as household size, median income, number of occupants, or whether they applied previously. The results for each session vary based on their business logic. A report module was built for management to send corresponding reports to their applicants. The software’s interface is developed using ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server.


Greater Los Angeles Auto Show

The Greater Los Angeles Auto Show is an annual event that has taken place at the Los Angeles Convention Center since 1907. It is only the second International Auto Show in the United States to be officially recognized by OICA. The Los Angeles Auto Show hired our expert .NET programmers to create a custom web-based application to streamline their internal process of over-the-phone media registrations. Attendees were able to request and submit their credentials online for Press Days. This software’s interface was developed using ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server.


American Hydrotech, Inc.

American Hydrotech, Inc. is a recognized leader in the development, production, and distribution of premium waterproofing and roofing products. Our experts helped American Hydrotech optimize their Microsoft Access database by converting from an outdated version to the latest release with maximum stability and security. One of their primary goals was to increase performance speeds. We accomplished this by adding Referential Integrity and Primary Keys along with cleaning up their data. The expansion of the main form to fit on a 1280 x 1024 resolution improved their design layout. Additional functionalities such as: new fields, modified drop down data, sorted drop down results, and maintenance forms for administration were added to enhance their database.

Solvay Chemicals, Inc. is a global materials and specialty chemicals company. Simetra SQL Server experts created a custom intranet Management System for their mine workers to utilize underground. Our developers used their existing Microsoft Access database as a prototype for the main input form; we re-designed the backend database to streamline their processes for management, crew, and employees. This management system tracked Production, Audit Trails, and provided quick entry screens, statistic reports on production and miners. The intranet interface was written in PHP and Microsoft SQL Server.
