Serra Manufacturing receives weekly payments downloads from Customer detailing wire transfer approximately over thousand lines of data for over 300 Work Orders. Originally Excel was used to manually balance the payments against open work orders, then input payment details into Quickbooks. The process took about 4-8 hours each download.
Serra Manufacturing uses MS Access frontend to a Microsoft SQL server backend database and excel. Simetra imported the information from the customer website into MS Access/SQL. Output are generated to excel to reconcile each transaction. Once reconciled, a process exports payment to quickbooks. Process takes about 1 hour per download.
