Morgan Picks LLC (Phase II)



Morgan Picks, a real estate investment firm, successfully implemented a custom SQL and Microsoft Access database developed by Simetra. As Morgan Picks expanded their use, project managers experienced connectivity interruptions on some property sites. Our team developed a separate database and interface to allow for database input while a user is offline. A standalone rehab application allows the offline users to add property Scope’s while on the property site. Using MS SQL Merge Replication subscriptions of Phase I database were created and published to each property manager’s Mobile device. Each mobile device had a subset of the active database allowing for database input while offline. Once internet connection is reestablished, offline changes can synchronize with Active Database as required. We take a team approach. Our Simetra experts check that the data has been synched weekly by user and ensure the active database is current and stable.

Affiliate Group of Children’s Hospital

Los Angeles (CHLA)


The organization had outgrown an aging and outdated single-user, on-premise database system that was at the end of its maintenance life. It was critical to move data to a modern reliable system without disruption.

Simetra created a customized MS Access system interface using a Microsoft SQL server backend. Our team created a cloud-based system allowing for multi-user access with secure automatic backup. We worked with the organization to create custom categories of contacts, improving usability and data quality. Complete data was migrated successfully maintaining integrity and accuracy of historical data. The new system enables reports and data to be delivered via MS Excel, MS Word or PDF.








An Entertainment Company



An entertainment company, tasked Simetra with a way to save time in producing complex royalty calculations based on Television industry data. The calculation required the amalgamation of millions of rows of TV program air time data in both the US and various international countries. Simetra developed a SQL Data warehouse that consumes data from two sources:

- Daily feeds in the form of zip files from a TV program air time service via ftp.

- Rate and producer information from an internal application written in Microsoft Access.

Simetra used SQL Server 2016 to build the database and tables for the system. SQL Server Integration Service packages were developed for the ETL process that talks to the subscription ftp server and downloads the daily feed. The data is aggregated and mapped to specific data from the internal application. Our client has access to this data for analysis via Excel Power Pivot.




Morgan Picks LLC (Phase I)



Morgan Picks is a real estate investment firm specializing in distressed properties. They were using Microsoft Excel to manage their Purchase, Eviction, and Rehab to Sale processes. After 2 years of growth, with 85 active properties and 400 properties in their portfolio, the Company outgrew the spreadsheet solution. Only one person could update any of the 6 spreadsheets at any one time. This became a major road block. In addition, the data in this format could not provide metrics reporting.

Simetra developed a SQL database and Microsoft Access Solution to manage their Purchase, Eviction, Rehab, Listing, Escrow, and Sale processes. Simetra used SQL Server 2014 to build the database and tables for the system. The data was imported from the spreadsheet system at final installation. The new system enables multiple users to access and query the portfolio at any point in time during the process and have the data delivered to them via Excel for analysis.

In addition, Simetra also used the Quickbooks SDK to link QuickBooks data with the Access database, allowing them to update each property's Financial data directly.

American Hydrotech, Inc.



American Hydrotech, Inc. is a recognized leader in the development, production, and distribution of premium waterproofing and roofing products. Our Access experts helped American Hydrotech optimize their Microsoft Access database by converting from a 2003 to 2013 version. One of their goals was to increase performance speeds. We accomplished this goal by adding Referential Integrity and Primary Keys along with cleaning up their data. The expansion of the main form to fit on a 1280 x 1024 resolution improved their design layout. Additional functionalities such as: new fields, modified drop down data, sorted drop down results, and maintenance forms for administration were added to enhance their database.








East Bay Asian

Local Development Corporation


East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation is a non-profit community development organization. Our expert .Net developers created web-based interface for their low-income housing application process. The system allows Applicants to apply via an online application and has an internal Management and Administration module for monitoring and processing submitted applications. The system we developed includes a robust filtering engine for applications based on a multitude of rules and eligibility requirements, such as household size, median income, number of occupants, or whether they applied previously. The results for each session vary based on their business logic. A report module was built for management to send corresponding reports to their applicants. The software’s interface is developed using ASP.net and Microsoft SQL Server 2012.






Solvay Chemicals, Inc.



Solvay Chemicals, Inc. is a global company driven by proud and committed chemists. Our SQL Server experts created a custom intranet Management System for their mine workers to utilize underground. Our developers used their existing Microsoft Access database as a prototype for the main input form; we re-designed the backend database to streamline their processes for management, crew, and employees. This management system tracked Production, Audit Trails, and provided quick entry screens, statistic reports on production and miners. The intranet interface was written in PHP and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2.





Global Cardio Care, Inc.



Global Cardio Care is a physician management company. A company specializing in an alternative heart bypass solution with EECP (Enhanced External Counterpulsation) and the Sara Soulati Health for Life Program.

Simetra was retained to develop a web-based solution using ASP.Net and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2. The web-based interface includes a Call Log System that tracks all calls, patient visits and tests performed. A robust patient tracking module was also created that captures information on each patient visit, such as health care providers, coverage, and tests performed. Simetra has provided on-going enhancements and modifications to include robust reporting solutions, automatic reminders, and test result analysis.


Greater Los Angeles Auto Show



The Greater Los Angeles Auto Show is an annual auto show that has taken place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California since 1907. It is only the second International Auto Show in the United States to be officially recognized by OICA. The Los Angeles Auto Show hired our .Net programmers to create a custom web-based application to streamline their internal process of over-the-phone media registrations. Attendees were able to request and submit their credentials online for Press Days. This software’s interface was developed using ASP.Net and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2.
